Re: New MOC - "Dilur" Front-Line Assault Mecha

Thank you Eric, you are too kind. I'm glad everyone likes the rail-gun, ammo belt, and ammo drum. I really wanted to make those stand out and look neat. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Gear (...) much! (...) Thank you Todd, I really appreciate your comments. I have wanted to incorporate those AT-ST rectangular canopies ever since I saw YOU use them as mecha chest hatches. Those pieces are just amazing. (...) Mladen Pejic, (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Shhh I'm Building - The GG Mech

Thank you all for the great compliments! When I went to the Lugola Meeting I met this great guy nammed Brian Stokes. He had these huge tote boxes packed to the brim with each color in it's own box. I got a huge bag of plates and parts. As soon as I (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha- HM-11 "Stalwart" Heavy Mecha

Hey wow! I like this pix best! (URL) has that "Heavy Class" look to it. Wow excellent feet design. Awesome walker type Mecha. Cool you guys worked together to make this. Impressive. Good job guys. Eric (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Mecha because you're making me feel inadequate about my own Mecha-building skills! Second of all, I want to say that, as nifty as your models are, I'm often even more impressed with your renderings of them. You do very nice work CAD/POV work (...)   Re: New MOC - "Dilur" Front-Line Assault Mecha

Well well! that's really somthing! Check out the angled chest! and whoa Red pod fins! Hey look at the cockpit with the angles as it relates to the chest! Wow the rocket pack area is very well done. Oh man look at the gun ammo deal very nice, check (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC - "Dilur" Front-Line Assault Mecha

(...) Awesome mecha, Mladen. Nice missle racks and shoulder cannon. Furthermore, that chain design is totally legit. Later, Todd (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Cankerworm

(...) Too cool. If I had made that, I could'nt bring myself to scrap it for parts. Nice pet. Later, Todd (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  9-11-01 tragedy

In light of yesterday's events, I felt I needed to do something in commemoration. since Legos are the medium I am most skilled with, I decided to use them. (URL) wreckage is that of an earlier model, the U.C.T. Quasimodo. somehow I didn't think it (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Cankerworm

Wow! Thank you Stuart. I was trying to make a super organic feeling (mecha). The whole project kind of spiralled out of control a bit. The same thing happened with the Q model. I really like that we all fight the same design problems in this group. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Cankerworm

Brother, when I first saw this increadible creation I was beside myself. I literally choked up. I almost could not speak. I in fact almost shed tears. The reason I say is because I looked deep in to the effort, vision and artisty involved in making (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Cankerworm

Bryce, This is exactly how I feel about this model-- the organic quality is astonishing, given the "limitations" (obviously being overcome almost daily in this group) of the medium. I feel as though I could get lost in the layers of detail, and yet (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC - "Dilur" Front-Line Assault Mecha

Thank you Brian. I know, the feet look awkward, however, the mecha is supposed to roll on them. At least the ammunition drum and belt are a success. BTW I tried not to use any trans elements on everything but the head. The trans parts represent a (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: The Cankerworm

(...) It's always astonishing somehow when the "legoness" of a model disappears when you look at it - the whole becomes more than the sum of the parts as your brain integrates the myriad tiny shapes into a larger design in an instant, sort of the (...)   Re: New MOC - "Dilur" Front-Line Assault Mecha

(...) The body has a nice stout shape but that parallel foot position looks a bit uncoordinated, even though it's necessary for it to use its foot wheels (unless it skates rather than just rolling forward with both feet flat on the ground). I think (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
