  small rocket mounting

Has anyone come up with a good solution for mounting 1x1 round rockets/missles horizontally to the underside of wings or onto the back of armoured vehicles. I am trying to work up some nice, detachable missle racks for BrickWars. I would love to see (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Ball & socket joints.

(...) Unfortunatlly there are only 4 ball & socket joints in the Storm trooper. neck, left and right shoulder and left elbow. I chose wrong the first time I picked. I'll have to check out Pohatu. Doh, I bought a C-3P0 and a Kopaka last night (needed (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Getting my own fingers into this mech thing.

Great mecha Lindsay, very great mecha. Good form, I espeically like the head, and the articulation in the neck is great, it makes it look like it has some personality. The legs are awesome, very unique design, the feet are nice too. Nice thruster's (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

The weapon modules rule! awesome awesome awwesome, did I mention...awesome! The rail gun is the best, it looks sweet, can anyone in the know please explain what rail guns shoot and how they fire? I used two huge ones in my sixlegged mech, but only (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Getting my own fingers into this mech thing.

(...) I like it very much! It has a more organic feel than most mecha models. The construction doesn't seem as polished as others I've seen, but it's still far superior to anything I could do. I especially like the cockpit -- now that I've seen it, (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Getting my own fingers into this mech thing.

Hey there, LFB! I like it! I like it! Your 'Toad' walker looks like an AT-ST on steroids...it has a nice bulky look to it without actually being bulky. I truly like the flow of the model especially towards the feet. That's certainly one of the best (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Getting my own fingers into this mech thing.

Hi, everyone! Seeing the general buzz that's always in .build.mecha and my desire to continue procrastinating on this grant proposal, I've been inspired to risk rendering a 20-year- old design into LEGO. It's from a universe I've been working on (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.build) !

Thanks for the excitment Geordan. I'd like to correct or rather explain something Dave said...(it's below) (...) Here's the deal. Colin, What's up? It's good to know you're still here. I too have enjoyed seeing this group grow over the 2 years I've been here. You will always be one of the Original Mecha Builders. (that's OMB kids. Our new mecha catch phrase). Thanks for (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Sorry, Geordan...I'm the only one who gets to see it early and that's only because I live close by...everyone else has to wait another 2 weeks.   Re: Ball & socket joints.

John, A few of us got together to 'do the math' on the various sets that contain the 'ball with axle-hole' part in them. We discovered that, using retail prices only, Pohatu was by far the best deal. He contains two 'ball with axle-hole' parts for (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Since you brought it up, do you mind if I ask a few questions? I'm curious about which CAD programs you've tried on your 486. MLCAD and LeoCad support the mouse.
