Anyways, this is my first foray into mech-construction in
three years, so I'd appreciate feedback.

I like it very much!  It has a more organic feel than most mecha models.
The construction doesn't seem as polished as others I've seen, but it's
still far superior to anything I could do.

I especially like the cockpit -- now that I've seen it, it's an obvious
thing to do, modelling on nature to put the 'brains' in the 'head' -- but I
don't think I've ever seen it in anyone else's mecha.  Definitely not with
such mobility in the 'neck'.

(If I'm mistaken, someone please point out other cool mecha I should be
looking at!)

...  If I get a chance I may scan in the
original drawings, bad as they are now that I look at them
  20 years down the line.

That would be very interesting to see. :)

Though these renders don't really show it, the neck has a good range of motion. (URL) J (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hi, everyone! Seeing the general buzz that's always in .build.mecha and my desire to continue procrastinating on this grant proposal, I've been inspired to risk rendering a 20-year- old design into LEGO. It's from a universe I've been working on (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.build) !
