  Stealing Bryce's Thunder

Every once in a while, I like to mess with my buddy Bryce McGlone. Today is that day. Here's one of the first pictures of his newest creation, the Cankerworm. Trust me, the picture doesn't do it justice....at all. (URL) Johann LUGNET Member #524 (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Ambush Report: Confidential

Sir I have the report. And?... Not good sir. All infantry, mecha, ships and the base itself are a loss. Any survivors? None sir. Any idea who did this? Only one screen shot from one of our fighter ships. Details? None sir. We have no idea what it (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New mech, PMC Kannon, hopefully a good day for mecha,

Time for me to weigh in on your fantastic new mecha, Geordan. (...) Looks like you put the time to good use. Some of the best mecha I've seen take a LOT of time to complete from start to finish and the tend to change quite a bit in the interim. I'm (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Something interesting in the mech world...

(...) Sort of too late... True, LOM isn't really a mecha theme, but Roboraiders was. Also true these aren't licensed themes. (...) If we take that reasoning to extreme, then we should hate LEGO for making any sets which build models at all. I've got (...) Geordan, (...) I honestly hope I didn't offend or nsult you by this careless statement-- my only defence is that it appeared to me that you were hoping for advice on how to improve something that was already excellent.   Re: As promised - Mecha using RCX with MacNQC - Draft 1.

I think you're off to a good start! You mention some problems that I think can be overcome, others I'm not sure about... but I'll offer my two cents anyway...   Re: As promised - Mecha using RCX with MacNQC - Draft 1.

(...) I like the design, but as with most RCX-based walkers, it looks, well, 'clunky'. I realize this can't be helped considering the nature of what it is you are working with. I, too, have been working on a walker of this nature and have met with (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

As promised - Mecha using RCX with MacNQC - Draft 1.

Hi, well some weeks ago I promised that I'd begin a project of developing a Mech incorporating the RCX unit, some motors and sensors. Here is my very first attempt at a minifig scale Mech: (URL) RCX is programmed using MacNQC and at this stage only (...)
