Man that's just cool! wow what a great looking mech, aswesome feet design. Site looks great too, I can see it's comming along pretty well. Now back to the Mech! Very nice.   Re: New Mecha

Yikes! the feet are incredible! They look like they have a mind of their own. If you just put eye's on the sides and some aquazone daggers and knives inside, those would be some scary lookin' feet. The head looks neat too, does it have a cockpit (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) place!!! I'll be sure to post some pictures of the internal structure once they are "finished". Don't expect too much though, it's just some detailing underneath the outer armor that's all. The cool thing is this basic "skeleton is almost (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha

(...) Awesome mecha Stuart! I especially like the way you built the legs. I think substantial legs give mecha a strong presence when you look at them. Have you shown your other mechs before? Well, it's my first time seeing them and I have to say (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha

Wow! Very nice! I dig the wings and the feet. I can't get anything but the thumbnails. I'd love to see how you did the hips, ankles, and shoulders. And yes I ALWAYS say that. I've just got a thing for new joint ideas. Yours look promising. You (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hey, thanks very much! This is indeed high praise! (...) Well... not really ;-) but I suppose one takes one's inspiration from somewhere...   Re: Macross Valkyrie Version 3.0

(...) VERY IMPRESSIVE! Man, that thing really looks good! I often thought about how difficult it might be to build such a thing; you really pulled it off well! I've recently bought the Robotech DVD's, and watching them has made me hope that I would (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha

WOW! Stuart, you're mecha are amazing! Very anime-inspired. I love the Hekuba, and all your other mecha. One question: Is the "Crusader" ready to fight a holy war in the East? I'm just kidding, the cross on its shield and the name made me think (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Macross Valkyrie Version 3.0

(...) Yeah, I'll be bringing it if I make it to the meeting. I'll probably bring my other stuff too. I know LUGOLA is pretty much the place to be for mecha. Not to mecha stuff is being built in NELUG or the East coast for that matter. sun (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Macross Valkyrie Version 3.0

Thanks for the compliments every one! :) (...) As far as tips go I simply recommend a lot of tinkering and experimentation on the way parts are used. Nothing beats that. This past month I've had nice long expanses of time on the weekends to tinker. (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Macross Valkyrie Version 3.0

(...) I agree, the tabs do add a presence to the head by framing it. I would have liked to modelled the tabs in but at the size I built this thing there were serious real estate issues on the model.
