Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

(...) Typically, I spend almost as much time on the head as on the rest of the mech. But then there's the hip area. If I don't succeed with that, then the mech never comes to be. So the hips are pretty hard, sometimes. Then, on some mechs, the arms (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

(...) Yeah, Mladen, I fully intend to have a complete Origami Mech section on my Brick'n'Brack site as soon as I can. I'm not really into minifig or larger scale, but I suppose I could include them as well. Any ideas? Matt (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

I completely agree with you Chris. For so long I've been pondering this question as well, and could not find an answer. Now I finally realize that for me it is the torse that is the hardest part of a mecha to build. Here are 3 reasons: 1) It is the (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

Legs...most definately the legs. I can visualize and create the head just fine, and the arms are usually the most intricate part I make, so take the longest. The torso usually just follows along after the arms...but the legs! Oy! Usually, I'm really (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Part of a mech that's hardest to build

(...) on the few first attempts at building anything but minimechs, I find that the torso is hardest for me. I can build a set of arms; a set of legs; even a head, that all look good together, but I can't seem to string em all together with a good (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Part of a mech that's hardest to build

I have a quick survey: While building a mech, what is the hardest part for you to make? I always have tons of trouble making the head look decent and properly proportioned with the rest of the body. Arms are another one of my weak points. I'd like (...) (23 years ago, 26-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ya What Mecha needs thumbs when it's primary job is to Shredd, Juilian, coleslaw or french fry mini figs! Yes handy. The fingers open up like a Swiss Army knife. There is a tweezers, a fish scaler, a tooth pic, and a saw for cutting wood. Basically (...) (23 years ago, 26-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
