Great Job, Ashley! I love alternate model ideas, especially mechs! it appears to be a functional model (articulation, etc) that also has quite a bit of style. Thinking of bringing it to the Nov. 4th LUGOLA Meeting in Irvine? I sincerely hope so.... (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

Here's my first attempt ever at a Mecha. The name SIAM is derived from: Sith Infiltrator Alternate Model. I have never built a mecha before so I do not know if there are specific attributes that I was supposed to model. The model features Darth Maul (...) Jason, Sorry for the late post. I've been trying to finish my newest mecha in time for the Lugola meeting. I'm commenting on Mark's post because I agree with him but have a couple other comments of my own. (...) I agree. I think the missles on the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Dave, Thanks for the reply. I think you explained the double joint thing better than I ever could. The bummer is that now I get to compete with you for pieces :-) Oh and one last thing...Ninja swords!!! I need 14. Please call. Bryce McGlone (24 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hey there, Mark! As one of the few who has actually held Big Blue and the face of things yet to come, I can tell you that these are incredible masterpieces. The Throwbot limbs don't appear to be able to hold much weight, but doubled up (...) (24 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Yes they work well. The double gives about the same mobility of the single with more support. The only pose a double won't give you is "cross" articulation: it wouldn't be able to hold a two handed sword, for example. At least not the way I'm (...) Hi Bryce, I see you're using double throwbot limbs at the shoulders. Does that work well? How much weight does it support? Looking forward to seeing more. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
