  Re: Finally!!!

Yeah I already did that: (URL) so have many, many, *many* people here on LUGNET. But it is still not *true* armour. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Finally!!!

How about modeling the armour and placing a minifig head on it? That way, you won't have to build around the minifig. That's the way I build all my big, evil positronic invaders from Alpha Centauri... Added bonus: shooting them to bits N' pieces (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Finally!!!

  Re: Finally!!!

(...) It's funny, I was just looking at pics of that shortly before I posted what I did... I've done exoskeletons like this before, too. For example: (URL) of the type I'm talking about being hard to model in minifig scale can be seen at: (URL) down (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

The waist thing, well, I'm entirely unsure how to widen it, because of the design of the lower (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My first POV-Ray

First rendering... Yeah right; looks like you're a pro with POV-Ray! Damn, I can't even render a nice sky... At first I saw your model and thought, hmmm... doesn't look very interesting. BUT, then I saw the .dat file, and wow! I really like how the (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What is that mysterious green thing?

Nice additions, but now that I look at it again, the torso looks way, way to huge for the limbs. And it's way to small above/near the pelvic area, giving it a funny He-Man action figure look. (...) webhosting (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What is that mysterious green thing?

Because I'm a tease, I took another couple of pictures of the Goblin (as it's currently known.) This time it's outfitted with plenty of weapons. More pictures and details will be written up soon enough, but for now this will do. Plus it'll test out (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
