  Re: Velociraptor

(...) Ech. Strep throat with a side of ear infection. Feel like poo. Getting in build time helps much. (...) Thanks for the comments Marco! (...) Thanks man, I will. Mark (20 years ago, 19-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) I'm getting there. I think the Lego therepy is the way to go. Get sick make MOCs, the real secret to faster healing. (...) Thank you sir. Thank you very much. (...) I was chatting with Keith the other night about these things, he asked me, (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) D'HO! Sorry about that. Well you know what they say about great minds. "Great minds think alike and fools seldom differ." I know I'm a fool so.... (...) The angles kept playing upon themselves with this creation. It worked really well. (...) I (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) GREAT! Yeah the ridgid leg design is nice for mecha building because of lack of need of specialized parts and the strength of the joints. The bad side is it doesn't move but you can stack all kind of brick on top of it and it'll hold the pose. (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) Ok, we'll just need a license and proof of insurance, don't forget to try out all the features, mulible targeting array, duplexing coolant systems, side curtain airbags, and new engine dampining for a quiet ride. (...) Would you believe I've (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) Funny, because that was one of the name ideas... Frog just didn't stick. Thanks Kyle. Mark (20 years ago, 19-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) Good stuff as usual Mark. My favs on this one are the triple barrel gun pods (especially the tips) and I also noticed on the detail pics the piston that braces the leg is actually not a piston but some clever legoing! (URL) have a question (...) (20 years ago, 19-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Stormwalker MkII

(...) Marco, I am curious what parts you used in the knees that twisted? Mark Neuman and I have had an ongoing dialog about can LEGO break and how much weight it can support? Brian (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Stormwalker MkII

(...) Sorry Kyle, no way. I ran into serious weight problems. The technic parts I used in the knee joint are allready twisted. Replacing them with thicker ones would cause a total redesign of the legs. I hope to get a better size/weapon ratio next (...) (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) Hi Mark, I hope you're not seriously ill! Again you did a great job! I enjoied the MOC page very much. You mentioned some quite interesting details. Beneath the overall look of Velociraptor I like the three barreld guns most. Fantastic idea! (...) (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) I hope you're feeling better Mark. ;-) I like this mech a lot. The legs look perfect, the colour usage is just right, and the detailing (i.e. the engines) is nice. Well done. The guns on the top, with the radomes, however feel a bit out of (...) (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) Thanks, again. I feel a little bit cheated on my next Mech. Somehow, I guess via e-mail charma, they have quite a resemblance. I guess you have mentored me more than you thought. I like the animalistic references with the cockpit and feet. (...) (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Velociraptor

(...) Greeeaaaaaat. Just Great. It's bad enough to have Shogun standing heroically on my desktop pointing in the general direction of where I store my lego, and now you have to go fall sick and further convince me that I need to take a break from (...)   Re: Velociraptor

(...) You should get "sick" more often. It is indeed mean looking...the name fits. As with all of your mechs, the Raptor looks like it would be a blast to test-drive. Take it down to the 7-11 for a six pack and a lotto ticket. I'd love to make some (...) (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Thanks to everybody who replied on (URL) Stormwalker>. It gave a strong motivation to me getting such constructive critics. They brought me to rethink the design which resulted in some modifications.   Velociraptor

Well I got a sick bug again, which means, build time! Oh wait, and rest. Yeah. So I thought I'd have some fun and make a nice easy ridgid mech: (URL) It's called, Velociraptor.   Re: Kalate OmniDroid

I like the general low-slung shape of these mechs. I really like all the gadgetry you put on this new mech... however, i'm gonna have to agree w/ what i read about the bionicle legs... they're too easy. i know that i'm sounding like a broken record, but you should consider at least adding some 'dead (...)
