  Re: "Spartan" medium assault mecha

(...) Thanks, Jeff. I think I may have finally come up with a hand design on par with Karim Nassar's minifig-leg fist (Though his has a stronger grip) But seriously (...) P.S. The head design on your Orbital Boost Frame is just too sweeet! Smart use (...) (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: "Spartan" medium assault mecha

(...) Hey Todd, I like the overall chunkyness to this one. My favorite part though is the hands. They're simple and effective. I think I have hand envy. But seriously I think that Lego should put out a set like this one. I would buy it over the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Orbital Boost Frame and I'm back!

(...) Hey Dave, A fellow Micronaut! I still collect Micronauts and Microman. The new fig's articulation is AWESOME! They're selling them at Suncoast Video if you are interested. You should check out this place for even more Microman action: (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) happened (...) was (...) Right on! Micronauts are definitely one of my fave-raves from my childhood. Jeff, have you ever been to: (URL) often go here just to bathe in the warm and fuzzy waters of nostalgia. I had quite a bid of Micronauts as a (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Orbital Boost Frame and I'm back!

(...) Thanks for liking my stuff even though you don't like Bionicle. I just happened into it before I got into the system stuff. The reason I was drawn to it was because it reminded me of the Micronauts I had as a kid. It has a simple robotic (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Orbital Boost Frame and I'm back!

(...) Ah Goldie, I think his back "moobs" are because of the excessive G-forces while boosting in orbit.:-P Yeah, those meat hooks I'm gonna do something about those b-yotches. I resign my membership in the LMHOF until I fix them. Thank you. Jeff (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: "Spartan" medium assault mecha

(...) you and i think alike. we both used the click hinges in our moc's. i used the alpha team hinges on almost everything except for the elbows. i almost used the new bley ones, but they would've clashed with the other bricks. they seem to fit well (...)   Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) you know it! that's why i chose an rgm to build--they don't have all the frill that other gundams have, rather they look more simplistic like military vehicles do. jason (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Z797

(...) Thanks Fradel. The only reason the minifig torsosare there is because I couldn't find enough of another piece I wanted to use. It's the only good thing that came about because of lack of pieces on this model. -Brayton (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) thanks. it does not have a cockpit due to the fact that it is too large for microfig and too small for minifig. (...) (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: "Spartan" medium assault mecha

(...) Thanks, Paul. Working with both light grays can be a royal pain at times but it does give it sort of a battle-worn feel to it. Later, Todd (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) Very nice mecha, Jason. BTW, does it have a cockpit? Later, Todd (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: "Spartan" medium assault mecha

(...) The mix of bley and Classic Grey looks interesting, at least in the photos. He's really nicely proportioned too. Well done. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Orbital Boost Frame and I'm back!

(...) Back in it indeed. Epic work Jeff, but why is it wearing its bra backward? Put those winnebagos on the front-side where they belong! And those hands...how could you even post those meat-hooks...a disgrace...a child could do better...Sophie (...) (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) thanks. usually, making the head takes forever, but somehow this one came together rather quickly. unlike my rotgeist, the head looks more proportional, while at the same time has that gundam look (without the lame yellow antenna on its (...) (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Orbital Boost Frame and I'm back!

(...) looks like we've both been away for awhile. i'm gonna level with you: i have never been a big fan of bionicle. i think it's a great idea and i can see why so many people are drawn to it. but most of the creations i see on brickshelf look (...) (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: "Spartan" medium assault mecha

(...) Thanks, Erik. The ankles are a bit wobbly. (...) Its supported by two 2x1 tiles and stays in place easily. It looks odd how there is nothing under it. Also, since. (...)   Re: "Spartan" medium assault mecha

Nice mech, Andrew! Ingenious name, by the way. I love the legs. They seem very sturdy, are they? The use of both new and old gray gives it a kind of 'been in a wreck but has been fixed' persona. Making me think it has survived many a battle, which (...) (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  "Spartan" medium assault mecha

Check out my latest experiment with the new clicking ball and socket hinges, the "Spartan"- (URL) this one, unlike my "Juggernaut" design, I left the hinges exposed for the sake of lightness and used the Alpla Team socket bricks at the shoulders and (...)   Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) Hey Jason, Nice! The proportions are awesome! The head is soooo tight. I think that the soul of any mech is the head. This one's got soul! Jeff (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)
