Re: UPMX Urban Parol Mecha - Experimental

Hey Fradel, For a first try at mecha this is excellent. I like the size of these mecha; they're scaled like some of the more imodesti mecha from anime such as Patlabor, Gasaraki and, VOTOMS. The accessories and weapons you included are very nice as (...) (20 years ago, 13-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module - Mech Bay 06

(...) e, how do you find the time???!!! it seems you kick out new stuff faster than you can say "biomechanical bricks" (o.k. it actually took me awhile to say that). nevertheless, the speed at which your mind and hands work astounds me. do you eat, (...)   Re: UPMX Urban Parol Mecha - Experimental

(...) These are pretty cool Fradel. Next, post the fighters you had at brickfest, those were cool, and I want to see em. This month's wamalug meeting escaped me, but I am going to try and make one if there is one during my winter break. Glad you're (...) (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

UPMX Urban Parol Mecha - Experimental

Hi guys. This is my first mecha and first post. I've been a fan of mecha since I was a kid and have enjoyed looking at everyone's creations for years. I figured I'd give it a go myself. Pics can be found here. (URL) guys were designed for the narrow (...) (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

After seeing Nakany's machinen krieger quadruped I decided I had to try my hand at one. Alas, my model doesn't even come close his, but it was still a fun little build. I'm not completely satisfied with it yet. I think the legs might be too long and (...) (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) snip (...) Eric, I've enjoyed your entire series of mech bays, and number six is certainly no exception. I love the red and light gray color scheme. It reminds me of a giant classic Space display I saw once (probably so long ago it might still (...) (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Little Spatula Bot

That color scheme makes it look like it could be an M-tron mech (one of my favorite Space subthemes). There's a wonderful slection of parts in there too. (20 years ago, 11-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: "Juggernaut" Medium Assault Mecha

(...) It might be a bit more stable due to its smaller stature but probably not much. BTW, athough I have'nt bought the Titan XP, from looking at the pics that I've seen so far, it likely owes what stability it has to the built-in "limiters" behind (...)   Re: "Juggernaut" Medium Assault Mecha

(...) Hey, that's a clean design. I like your use of the new joints; I wonder, though, how stable it is. I bought the Titan XP and built the main mecha; it is way too large for those joints, IMO. Your mecha is a little smaller, and not so bulky. I (...) (20 years ago, 9-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: "Juggernaut" Medium Assault Mecha

Nice juggs, Todd! There's something solidly reassuring about the single brick widths you have running around and around your mecha. Very smooth. Keep it up! -Teddy (20 years ago, 8-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: PA005A

I just went through the set of shhwweet pics. Great Photos! The scale and clarity of design bring you to a place where these suits are used and the fun can be imagined. Thank you. e (20 years ago, 8-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) If this was sold as a set, I would buy it in an instant. If instructions were sold, I would buy them in an instant. If you just gave out the instructions, you'd be my hero. ~Kevin Oh and I still like the original better ;) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: "Juggernaut" Medium Assault Mecha

(...) I know this was mainly a "big joint" showcase project, but I really like the hand design, specifically the part the fingers are mounted on. I can't remember ever seeing that before.
