Re: New mechs, Spartan vs. Wolverine

Gorgeous mechs you got there! You really have a style of your own Kyle. The mechs look so crisp and vivid that one would think they were ripped straight from some Saturday morning cartoon. I also greatly admire the way you built the Spartan mech. It (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  New mechs, Spartan vs. Wolverine

When Allister McLaren built his (URL) this mech> , Rick Hallman suggested he name it the Spartan, because it had green on it, and Rick is from "MSU country", meaning he lives nearby Michigan State University. Well, I graduated from Michigan State U, (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha

(...) Haha! Thanks Keith, and pay no attention to the way I name this MOCs... I give them silly names just so I can easily refer to them later, instead of saying, "hey, remember my LX13.4 Z000 YC500 Mecha?" (...) Hehe. ;-) (...) Well, people here on (...)   Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha

M, this thing is money. For some reason it reminds me more of an insect than a crab though. The moc posesses the powerfull thighs of female eastern european olympic swimmer that you just don't see on mecha anymore. But I must complain...where are (...)   Re: De-lurk and New MOC

Snip (...) I'm using 640x480 right now. I'm thinking of going with higher res pics and shrinking them down in photoshop, so I can keep the pixel count higher. The mech came together fairly quickly, starting with the legs. I was fairly proud of it (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) :-O (...) Good, you paced yourself, so as to prevent a complete Sophie-freakout. (...) Thanks, I'm using a Nikon D70 Digital SLR Camera now... Meaning I finally have all the control I have longing for; shutter speed, aperature, focus, etc. I (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOCs: Bot contest entry and one other

(...) Soren, I gotta pass along another compliment. Instead of just being silly. The two main images for these creations are just phenomenal. I gotta say, the lighting, the MOCs, they are just beautiful. (2 URLs) Excellent. e (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha

(...) There's like 79 cool things per square inch! Nay Stud! ok, I sat quietly, silently, and enjoyably looked through each picture. Quality pictures, as always, a given. Unussual design, as always, a given. Excellent blending of very cool pieces, a (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Eastern Block Mecha

(...) Hahaha. Beautifully comedic. The execution is very stylish. My only complaint is the lack of a bushy, waxed moustache. Soren (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: De-lurk and New MOC

(...) Welcome! Oh so you made this one modular. Should be cool for interchangability. I recognize most of the parts, but I look forward to new pictures, I can't make out some of the details. Also, be sure to check the size that the camera is taking (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Botzor: Good and 3vil

(URL) Here I introduce the Botzors, which are just like Bots, but have a different name. Featured is the Sculptor-Bot, the Star Ranger RocketBot named "Roxor", another blue/grey bot that just looks cool, and Chromum, the 3vil sidekick of Jr.Marshal (...)   Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha

(...) Thanks Soren! Yeah, I originally did think of an asymmetrical design but I knew I'd mess it up somehow. I like to keep things simple, so I always opt for symmetry. (...) Thanks again. (...) Well, I've noticed your use of colours nicely (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Crab" Tank Mecha

(...) Mmmm, I like it. Your usual attention to detail shows, the "icing" on this one is very nice. I think you missed the boat on the general shape though; this design begs for some asymmetry in weapons placement. Otherwise, a nice addition to your (...)   Re: New MOCs: Bot contest entry and one other

(...) Thanks. For some reason I've been feeling the urge to build small. (...) Maybe. Right now I'm thinking I'll just build an adapter for the cargo racks. Soren (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
