  Re: Name that Mecha

(...) In fact I studied the Knight-Gigant pretty closely while I was building this. I love the look of it, but when you look closely there's a lot of single stud connections in there. It must be as fragile as all get-out. But yes, I was aiming to (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) Yay! Hi Nate.... (...) Your Mech Bay would be studless, that's why! Mr. Technic Beam. (...) Thank you, but I still believe in your creativity. Trick is to make it happen. We all dream, it just depends on wheather or not you actually sit down (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) Thank you sir! I saw a simular "bones in the ground" set up in a NELUG display and it's just the thing to do. (...) Since this is a power up facility, Mechs just walk up and get some power, mostly automated I would think. Perhaps some (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Name that Mecha

..... Actually I don't know what to say. What a fantastic mech this is Allister. When and where can we buy this model moc??! It looks so smooth and stylish. One of the most beautiful mecha I've seen! That's why I can't think of a name at the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

Grrr e.... Why don't I have that many bricks to try something like this work of art??! But oh well. If I did have so many bricks I still don't have that level of creativity you have.... Grrr...eat work e!! Nate (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

Another fine creation Eric! I particuarily like the buried skeleton in the side of the mountain in a shallow grave. I wonder what story lies there? The facility is straightforward and simple, sometimes the best. I can't help but want to fill the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Name that Mecha

(...) I too, am working on a Mecha, in Grey and Green. (Lime Diet Coke was my inspiration, sadly) I like the look of this, something about it (possibly the thrusters of the back and kinda the feet) reminds me of the Sentinels from X Men Evolution. (...)   Re: Name that Mecha

(...) How about 'PerfectlyBalancedAw...ned-tron'? For some reason, Symphony in Green Major comes to me. A little wordy, yes...but it seems to fit for some reason. Great build man. -G PS. And yes...too funny on the Lenny Shot. Gotta do one of those (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Name that Mecha

(...) Ok, how about something really dodgy like 'Greyen' - 'Greyen the Giant'? It's Grey and Green merged, if you hadn't already guessed ;) Mel... (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) Nick! You made my day! (night) That is so kind of you to say. Hooooooooray for nice people! Thank you fellow member. e (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) This is just amazing. There's nothing to write; it's almost incomrehensible. I can't wait to watch this puppy light up, and catch all the goodies. Well done! -nk (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Looking for someone else's MOC..

Jeremy, can you give us some more information? I still cannot figure out which Mech your talking about. Is it in the LMHoF? Also, Dave Thomas made a Mech with a dedicated Ball Hammer in one hand, however I could not find Mecha Designs on his site. (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

In lugnet.build.mecha, Allister McLaren wrote: -snip- (...) ok, this is silly, but I want you to call it the "Gollie Gump" I really don't know why, it just popped into my head. It speaks to me. (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) Thanks Gil, you are very perceptive! Total Recall is exactly what I had in mind when making the front of Mount SciBrick, wild, scary, you called it! Xpods are good. Swipe away. Thanks for your reply, fellow member. e (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Name that Mecha

(...) You are my new hero. I tried to start a mech a few months ago with similarly sized feet, and got stuck at the hips, even using the same ball joint. Your solution is fantastic! And is that paper stuck into the joint to make it have more or less (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Name that Mecha

(...) Awesome "Lenny Shot", Allister. I can't remember seeing a mech doing a "thumbs-up" before. The mech is also cool. You got all the joints to work plus the right sculpturing to prevent it from looking like a box with stick-limbs. The proportions (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Name that Mecha

'morning Allister, I saw your mecha on BrickShelf before seeing your post. Here is what I think : I like very much the fact you integrated as much as possible rounded bricks in this mecha : the barrels, the kind of rings used on the outside (...)   Name that Mecha

Hi All, I've just completed a new mecha. I started this some weeks ago with nothing more in mind than a desire to Build Something Using Green. The first two attempts were ok, but kinda goofy looking (photos available on request), but I'm pretty (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mount SciBrick - Mech Bay 05

(...) Man is that big. It sorta has elements of Total Recall to it....it a good way of course. Using the pods as power generating chambers is a nifty idea...might have to swipe it :) Cheers, -G (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
