New MOC: "Prowler" Autonomous Battle Tank

(URL) Click on Image Heh, I finally made use of the precious few sand green elements I had. I have none of those nifty, wide Technic treads, so my only option for building anything close to a futuristic MBT was to make a multiped mecha with a (...)   Re: My newest Mecha: The Judge

(...) Thanks. I have always been partial to the big and beefy mechs, and this mech was definately my beefiest. It did take me quite a while to think up a good shoulder design to go with the torso, but i think the one i ended up with worked out well (...) (21 years ago, 22-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My newest Mecha: The Judge

(...) Praise from Da Man! Thanks you very much! I was definately trying to do a torso construction that hasn't been done before, although i did get a little bit of inspiration from GlaGla's latest model :) Thanks, Frank (21 years ago, 22-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My newest Mecha: The Judge

Ooooh yeah. Love that torso. Shoulders too, they look really good with that beefy chest between them. I'm a little put off by the red on the waist, and it could stand more detailing (figures I'd say that, huh? :) ), but the basic concept is still (...) Wow, Frank! Check out the tottally interesting construction! Very interesting indeed! Man, this is neat. So many cool things going on. I like it. e (21 years ago, 21-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  My newest Mecha: The Judge

Folder (post Mod): (URL) Links: (URL) right, yet another mecha! The judge originally started off when iw as goofing around with parts (a bunch of ball joints and technic holders) when i decided to make an inverse knee mech with split poseable toes. (...)   Miniland Figure Star Wars MOC: Bothan Spy

This is sort of a redo of two of my older (and now pretty crummy looking by comparison) figures: my original Bothan and Stormtrooper. Disguised in a modified Imperial Scout Trooper uniform, this armor has flight capabilities, perfect in case a hasty (...)   PDX Mecha award update

I'm rather embarrassed but there was a snafu in the shipping of the prizes and I didn't quite got them in time for BrickFest PDX. They arrived to me on Monday the 16th, and I am proud to say two of the three are already mailed out. The awards for (...)   Re: 2004 American International Toy Fair Pictures on FBTB

(URL) It's interesting to see the mecha genre design cues they've appropriated, also construction details possibly gleaned from mecha images on brickshelf. It is a good first effort for a medium sized mecha. The color scheme is too noisy and (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

2004 American International Toy Fair Pictures on FBTB

For those who aren't aware, FBTB is covering the Toy Fair in New York and pictures of new 2004 sets are starting to appear there. So far there are Duplo, Quatro, Dora, Creator, Designer (mecha!), and Technic pictures on there. I'm expecting Star (...)
