Hello,
This is my 2nd town contest entry: The Carriage House.
<http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=165246>
Based on a bar/restaraunt on 18th street between 6th and 7th in NYC. There are
a row of 3 or 4 of these type of buildings, in different colors, on that block.
I'd love the parts to build this in dark red. . .
When I worked at Harry Abrams Publishing (on the same block), we'd go to the
Carriage House for Happy Hour on Thursdays. The bartender was kind of
unpleasant, but he could make a fantastic mojito. . .not to sweet, just right.
Mojito's were 2 for 1 on Thursdays until 7:30 pm. At 7:15 or so, we'd all order
the next round. It was kind of funny, seeing 4 or 5 people with 15-20 drinks in
front of them. Unfortunately, we tired of the surly bartender and started to go
elsewhere. The Carriage House is now closed, but the building is still there.
