Re: P-38 Lightning Mark XII - contest entry.

(...) Thanks. I started with the landing gear this time. I discovered it's much easier to put it in this way than retrofitting it as I usually end up doing. In lugnet.space, Ryan Wood wrote: (...)   Peether T-8 (Lightning contest entry)

What a great idea for a contest! Just the kind of inspiration I needed on a rainy Seattle Saturday, after stalling out on some larger building projects.   Re: P-38 Lightning Mark XII - contest entry.

-snip- Very stylish Allister. Great colour scheme and really creative design to be seen in this MOC. Most of all, I like how it's slanted forward when the landing gear is deployed. Too cool. ;-D (URL) Mladen Pejic> (22 years ago, 23-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

(...) Allister! I am very happy in seeing how this contest has been progressing towards the unusual and creative.. this craft is no except.   Re: P-38 Lightning Mark XII - contest entry.

(...) Allister, this is one fine vehicle. It resembles the P-38 enough that it conforms with the contest outlines, but you altered the design enough that it looks very spacey indeed. I think this is my favorite entry yet in the contest. Awesome (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

  SchleimWars!

I think it would be fun to see teams of people battling it out at an in-person building event/tournament where the objects is to out-schleim the other teams and come up with really cool SNOT MOCs on the spot.   Re: P-38 Contest Entries

(...) Bram, Well done on both entries, and I really dig the second one. It looks more spacey and less A-10 than the first. The hoses are a very nice touch, and you pulled it off working in mini scale (another great touch). -Nick (22 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: P-38 Contest Entries

(...) Bram, Both are good. I especially like your second one though. It has a very 'natural' look to it.
