Re: Ice Planet Entry: Scissor Wing IV

(...) Nope, sorry. The current documents look like element lists. A DAT or MPD file will have coordinates plotted. You want to open both MOC MPD files, and export or merely save them as DAT files or MPD files. Try posting those. -- The Ice Worm (24 years ago, 15-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Ice Planet Entry: Scissor Wing IV

(...) Thanks for the comments! It's great to know that I at least had a viable attempt at a submission. Perhaps I should post here more often :) (many thanks to the coding as well. I'm still a newbie at POV Ray) Oh yeah, Ice Planet is one of my (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Ice Planet Entry: Scissor Wing IV

(...) Thanks. For my first MOC, I didn't know what the response would be. Yes, this was an original design, but the Unitron Starhawk II did inspire me, as well as the X wing, and a personal design of mine based on a story I'm writing as of now. (...)   Re: Announcing the 2nd Annual Space Set Design and Building Contest -- Part II: Ice Planet 2002!

Yikes! Another goof up... Joseph is competing under Category VI Bases -- as he had originally wanted to do and despite his posting under Category X. Joseph had asserted to me via email that he thought he exceeded the element count for Category VI (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Announcing the 2nd Annual Space Set Design and Building Contest -- Part II: Ice Planet 2002!

(...) hehe well I had wondered if it broke clause #1. I got this idea after looking at some new ip entries and then right away checking out the new 1592 island theme. The mental leap wasn't too far from there. It was just a matter of resources then. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

(...) tanky Bruce =) The robots were for lack of Ice Planet dudes, but they add to the flavour. The snowbeast was from IceWorm's (fear him) trotter. Yea the colour scheme is pretty bent I think the designers had gotten a few too many factory fumes (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

(...) I wasn't aware it was even an issue! I had planned to do just what Joseph did but I've been beaten to the punch. May do it anyway as it's a neat idea. (24 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Announcing the 2nd Annual Space Set Design and Building Contest -- Part II: Ice Planet 2002!

Thanks for the new submission, Joseph! In case anyone wonders about it, the other Variants thing is NOT a contest as far as I can tell, but an ongoing exhibition running concurrently to our contest. Therefore I have cleared Joseph's entry as not (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

(...) Here's my combo submission for both IcePlanet and Holger Matthes' 1592 variations : (URL) clocking in just under 600 pieces, I origninally had base in mind but I am submitting it to category X .   Re: Ice Planet Entry: Scissor Wing IV

(...) Just a little helpful (hopefully) hint: If you use the LGEO library through POV-Ray, Trans-Orange comes out red like this. The way I fix it is to edit the POV file. It's actually not hard: 1. Scroll through the top stuff till you get to color (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)
