Completion of the World Trade Center tower #1

I have finally finished one of the twin towers, and posted about 20 pictures on my site. Construction of this first tower took almost a year, begun in April 2000 and completed in February of 2001. The exterior contains over 12,500 pieces, or about (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

That's tres cool, Dwayne! I love the fact that it'll be displayed at PNLTC layouts! People will flip:-) This again exemplifies what I think is so cool-- LTCs modeling regional landmarks. Seems about time to mention JT's NGLTC Atlanta chicken! FUT: (...) (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

Dwayne: I was in Vancouver a few years ago and saw this magnificent building personally. You have done a great job capturing its essence. I wish I would have had more time to study it because it is such a striking building. Vancouver itself is an (...) (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

Shinjirarenai! KK are you sure you were not an architect? Sorry to hear of the demise of kumamoto-jo, but if we can look forward to more work like this I can only be happy. Chris Barker chris@superfami.com (...) (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.castle)

Re: Rebuilding the Empire State Building

(...) Simply amazing! I really like the World Trade Center (one of my all-time favorite buildings) If it's not too much to ask, roughly what kind of costs are associated with such a colossal project? (24 years ago, 12-Feb-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Asian Monuments - The Great Wall of China

(...) Yes, Tom I did disassemble Kumamoto Castle for the Great Wall but I still have the itch in me to build some more castles.   Re: Vancouver Public Library

Thanks. I only got to see it for an hour while we were on vacation last year. It is a very cool building. I tried red at first but it looked to cartoon-like. Tan would be cool but I don't have near enough to do that (and I even part sets). I think I (...) (24 years ago, 11-Feb-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

Thanks for the compliment. I saw an apartment building Steven Barile built out of yellow (and black or red) that had all curved walls and was kinda triangular (I can't find a picture of it on line).
