Dwayne:

I was in Vancouver a few years ago and saw this magnificent building
personally.  You have done a great job capturing its essence.  I wish I
would have had more time to study it because it is such a striking building.
Vancouver itself is an architectural bounty (can you tell I really liked the
city?).

BTW, in the old town section by the river (I can not remember the name right
now but it is the oldest section of town), there is a toy and hobby shop
that had lots of older sets when I was there.  I picked up some old castle
and space from the early to mid 90s.  If any in Vancouver hasn't gone there,
I encourage you to do so.  I just wish when I was there that I would have
purchased more (they had a few old Spyrius sets that I passed on).

Anyways, great job on the Library.  What's next, the Lionsgate Bridge?

I finished the first phase of construction on a model of the
Vancouver Public Library, a very interesting, architecturally
speaking, building. (The second, surrounding, building which
contains office and retail space will be coming soon.)

I am still working on the web page which will eventually
contain side-by-side comparison pictures of the real building
with the model. In the meantime, since I wanted to make the
pictures available as soon as possible the web page is very
simple. http://www.towells.net/library

The real thing's web page is • http://www.vpl.vancouver.bc.ca/branches/LibrarySquare/home.html

It will be displayed at GATS next weekend, if you are in the
Portland, OR area you should stop by and see PNLTC's display.

Dwayne

PS: Comments will be welcomed.
