Old style danish country house in Miniland scale

Hi, Please have a look at my latest creation (URL) roof took a while to build (especially the vault over the door) and it is completely "randomized", so is the wall where all my sand red bricks are in use. Also notice the base of the house made of (...) (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch) !!

  Re: Art Museum

Thanks, all, for your comments. Some more info... The museum is fashioned loosely after the University of Michigan art museum in Ann Arbor, MI.   Re: Art Museum

Thanks for your comments. Not too surprisingly show visitors didn't know it was supposed to be an art museum. I didn't have time to hang banners from the portico, but I'll do that before Novi GATS. There were probably 20 people who asked if it was (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Rensselaer Troy Building

(...) Yes, I see what you mean. Sorry, I am not very well versed in actual architecture terms, thoa I suppose I will be learning as I continue to build! Anyway, at the top of the column are 4 1x1 headlight bricks--two facing out and 2 facing in. (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Rensselar Troy Building

(...) The capital is the top of the column. It looks kind of like a bracket where 1x2 plate has two side thingies offset at an angle, plus round plates on those.. never used it before, I'm guessing at what I'm seeing there. (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Rensselar Troy Building

(...) Yea, it did. :) I hear it is much better in most of the buildings now. There has been significant renovations all over campus. Its like a completely different school. (...)   Re: Rensselar Troy Building

Hey, awesome! Troy building! Can you make some of the windows opening? Troy building used to get hot in September... What's the piece on the front of the capital? (One piece offset plate or multiple pieces?) -Erik CSYS '94 (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Rensselar Troy Building

(...) Sure. Those are actually 1x2 red tiles attached to two black 1x1 headlight bricks. I used black so that I could get a bit more contrast. (...) Oh that is a cool photo. I wonder if it was there when I looked before. Possibly. Thanks anyway, as (...) (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Rensselar Troy Building

(...) Very nice to look at - must be spectacular in person. Well done! I'm trying to figure out how to do the same offset brickwork you've done on the corners of the building - is that a 1/5 stud offset? Obviously, you were inspired by this photo of (...)
