Re: Mythic creatures by Micah Berger

(...) Okay, those are all pretty cool, but the Cyclops is awesome. Easily the best evocation I've ever laid my eye on. The over-huge mouth is great and really displays a lot of character in its expression. I also love his spike-toothed (or (...) (19 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Mythic creatures by Micah Berger

Hi all, Micah Berger has made some great creatures from Greek myths. He discusses them in (URL) this thread on Classic-Castle>. Sphinx: (URL) Antman: (URL) Minotaur: (URL) Cyclops: (URL) Bruce (19 years ago, 3-May-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.castle, FTX) !

  Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

Splendid as always, Rev. The great blood effects bring me back again and again. Makes me think of Monty Python's sendup of Sam Peckinpah. Thanks to you, Lego Bible Study is going to be a big hit at church camp this summer. -Teddy (19 years ago, 23-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

(...) Wow! Thank you for the detailed reply - I never thought I'd be getting an education in Hebrew etymology on LUGNET.   Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) I'm not sure why I got wrapped up in creating mosaic patterns out of headlight bricks before trying the simpler idea of creating them out of regular ol' bricks and plates. I guess the headlight mosaics have the nice (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

(...) Thanks. That's always a nice compliment to hear. :) (...) When I first read this story about Gideon setting up an "ephod" at Ophrah which all the Israelites "prostituted themselves" to, I was pretty confused about just what was going on. I (...)   Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

Hey Brendan, Great work as usual. God Uses Midianites to Oppress Israel - The coolest pic in this story is the second one. The Jack Stone columns behind the inverted arches makes an interesting wall, and the mosaic floor is very cool. In the first (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Columns was Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

On the topic of fluted columns, I'm sure Lego would make it Juniorized, but I would rather have a top and a bottom piece with drums 2 bricks high. That way you could make your own base or capital. The white Technic pin joiners can be wrapped around (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) I say this because its the same reason I attempted a more artistic direction with lego rather than another medium. The shapes, textures, and colors invoke immediate feelings in an observer. So this can be used as a spring board to communicate (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

Hi, Felix. (...) That's really nice to hear, thanks. It's great to hear that sort of thing from anyone, but it's extra special to hear that from someone whose MOCs really stand out from the crowd for their originality and artistry. So first let me (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah
