Re: The Brick Testament begins the Book of Joshua

Hi, Matthew. (...) I've reviewed the passages describing the parting of the Jordan, and while the text doesn't rule out that the water piled up downstream as well, I have to agree that it would make more sense to portray this scene with only one (...)   Re: The Brick Testament begins the Book of Joshua

(...) Unless man is spouse of prostitute. PS, I hope you are prepared for some solid levels of hate mail now that your coverage is moving into this contentious area. I imagine more than a few people will be surprised by what the Bible says happened (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament begins the Book of Joshua

Not to nit-pick, but Joshua 3:15-16 says "As soon as the feet of the priests carrying the ark of the covenant touched the water, the water coming downstream toward them stopped". You portray the water piled up both upstream and downstream, rather (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Hey, Bruce. (...) Thanks. (...) Point taken. (...) Needed something to tie the rope around for the spies' descent--as well as something to conceivably tie the scarlet cord to (although that will never actually be shown). (...) D'oh! Hadn't even (...)   Re: The Brick Testament begins the Book of Joshua

Hey Brendan, Great stuff as always. Spies and the Prostitute: I wouldn't have done the sex scene, but oh well. The blue and yellow room in 2:2 is great, especially the blue axles in the yellow bricks with axle hole--great little detail. I'm not a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

What up, Len! (...) That *is* a strange shadow. But there's no photoshoppery going on there. I looked through my whole collection to figure how best to make a "scarlet cord". My best solution was to have the spy holding two hot dogs at such an angle (...) (20 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)
