Hey, Bruce.

Great stuff as always.

Thanks.

I'm not a fan of these soldiers--the gray shorts with long-
sleeves seems a little English schoolboy for some reason.

Point taken.

Nice detail to put in the central pole in the window in 2:4-5.

Needed something to tie the rope around for the spies' descent--as well as
something to conceivably tie the scarlet cord to (although that will never
actually be shown).

The flags as flax is cool (and a nice pun);

D'oh!  Hadn't even thought of that.

what are those containers, though?

They're feeding troughs from one of the DUPLO animal sets.

Crossing the Jordan:  I really like the waters receding in 3:15-16.
I'm not as thrilled by the flat vertical walls of water in the next
two pics (I think I said something similar about the red sea crossing).
Man, that's a lot of tall blue slopes, though!

It *is* a lot of tall blue slopes.  It's hard to tell from the angle it's
photographed at, but the parted river set is about 3.5 feet in length.  I
actually built it to be a new version of the parted Red Sea for Exodus--although
that new version is not yet online.  Not sure you'll like the new version any
better, since it's still flat walls of water, but I like think it's an
improvement.

Second Circumcision:  What makes this story is the choice of faces.
The third guy in 5:3 seems particularly concerned.  The guy in 5:6 (what's that from,
btw?) seems to be gritting his teeth to bear the pain.

I like that new face a lot--it's the hovercraft pilot from one of the World City
sets: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/7045  You can't see his face on any of the
packaging, which is a shame.  I first came across him on http://www.legofigs.com
and then got him on Bricklink.

The guy in 5:7 (nice foreskin pile, btw) seems to be
oddly enjoying himself.

Maybe.  That's one of those faces, like Flex from Alphateam, that seems to me
can either be expressing great excitement or great fear.

What's the source of
the guy leaning against the tree on the left in 5:8?

That is the "bandit" from the same World City set mentioned above.

Looking forward to further installments.  I'd like to see an
action shot of the walls of Jericoh mid-fall.

I will be starting work on that presently!

Thanks for the comments,

-Brendan

Hey Brendan, Great stuff as always. Spies and the Prostitute: I wouldn't have done the sex scene, but oh well. The blue and yellow room in 2:2 is great, especially the blue axles in the yellow bricks with axle hole--great little detail. I'm not a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)
