Re: About a gate and a cross... oh and some new pictures of a temple

Hi Casper, I saw your Easter scene yesterday at brickshelf.com. Just great, the spread wide arms of Jesus Minifig using a tube is a great idea! Is the temple the one you've shown in Berlin last year? I'm working on an extension of my (URL) Venice> (...) (20 years ago, 9-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: About a gate and a cross... oh and some new pictures of a temple

(...) I know Casper very good, and you know, it's not HIS fault that he doesn't build enough ancient-work... it's Lego's!?? :-) ?? Yes! If you look close to the details you spot the use of many, MANY jumperplates and tiles (normal grey of course). (...) (20 years ago, 9-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Brilliant work Casper, Portunis has always been one of my favorite mocs, and the new pics make me appreciate the details even more. The temple looks great from every angle. The only problem I have with you, is that you don't build enough! -Keith (20 years ago, 9-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Hi, Casper. Wow, excellent construction on the temple and the gate. You did a particularly nice job with the temple roof. And everything is so smooth -- nary a stud point up. The interior shots are quite intriguing. Wish I could see them a little (...) (20 years ago, 8-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

(...) Sorry - I usually only use that for things I render or need to put up in a hurry. I added the Shire Horse in to this sequence: (URL) all on this page: (URL) are two extra shots too: (URL) Railton (20 years ago, 8-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Casting Satan and Jesus for The Brick Testament

(...) I think the Quirrel head looks best, but black hair seems a bit too "Snidely Whiplash" evil. Dark-red looks a lot more sinister, and the body might look better in dark-red as well. (20 years ago, 8-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Casting Satan and Jesus for The Brick Testament

Just adding my $.02. I have a personal preference for Satan #8, mostly because he looks a lot like me. Don't get me wrong, the one you picked works, but I like #8 better :). This is starting to get really creepy. First the guy in The Law (the main (...) (20 years ago, 8-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Casting Satan and Jesus for The Brick Testament

(...) I'm happy with the choice of Satan, altho I prefer a larger, more beastial depiction. Perhaps I can suggest using different versions of Satan to depict the different ways that Satan acts. My reading of the Bible has suggested that perhaps (...) (20 years ago, 7-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Excellent again. I love the fact that I'm never quite sure what to think of this, but the modelling is always brilliant. I love the attention to detail, and I'm always trying to pick out the right expression for my minifigs. (...) I must admit the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Great stuff as always, Brendan. (...) I like the wolf. For some reason that design looks more blocky when the wolf is standing, but in this reposed position the blockyness is minimized. The duck is cute but a little too rectangular. Nice Satan (...) (20 years ago, 6-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Satan Tempts Jesus

The Brick Testament has been updated today with a new illustrated story from the Gospels: Satan Tempts Jesus.   Re: The Parable of the Unpopular Banquet

Cool, a nice little Friday present. Unpopular banquet: I wish some of these had the background in sharper focus--it's pretty much impossible to see construction details on the settings.
