Youre just lucky I finished photographing these stories before I saw the
Station 62 write-up. Im sure I could have found a way to work a minifig Keith
Goldman into the background of some scene. With a bear!

Rape: The broken necks of the minis at the gates,
|
Yeah, with all the dead minifigs the Bible has given me cause to illustrate, Im
surprised I hadnt stumbled upon the broken neck death pose before now. Its
pretty disturbing. But, I guess, so is God commanding people to stone someone
to death.

the glass-rack over the bar, the hay bales in the barn, and my personal
fave, the effectively blurry gunshot wound to the head. I think that
frame is a great example of your photography skills.
|
Thanks. Sometimes I find it works better to take the subtler approach to
presenting massive head trauma in LEGO.
It wasnt until I was putting together the web pages for this story that I
realized I kind of presented it wrong. The Bible passage states she may have
called out for help without anyone coming to her rescue, and then I show her
not calling out for help, but yet a policeman arrives at the scene to dispense
justice before anybody can even get their pants back on. Whoops.

Newlyweds: I loved the red recliner, and the striped wallpaper.
What can I say, its the little things in life.
|
Yeah, I like the wallpaper. So much so that I used it for two stories in a row.
Who knows, maybe the newlywed couple lives in the same apartment complex as
the proof of virginity couple.
|
Virginity: The map/nightstand and the technic bedframe are cool. But who
the hell is the hook-wearin dude in the cowboy hat and the anchor tatoo?
Hes gotta be somebody? Does he have a name?
|
Thatd be White Trash Bill. Apparently he is also on the show to declare to the
world that his wife is a slut. I wanted to feature a LEGO version of legendary
security man Steve Wilcos, but alas, he wouldnt
fit properly in the frame.
|
Prisoners of War: Of course I loved the machine-gun scene with all the red
dots, it really gave the impression of automatic fire. I also liked the
shaved hair in the trashcan. The bald-hobo-warbride was funny/tragic, with
her stick and backpack
|
Please consider making a donation to the Bald Hobo Warbride Foundation of
America. It helps bald hobo warbrides help themselves.
|
Infidelity: I liked the chrome chalice and pipe organ. I wish I had thought
of the light sabre handle/car headlight for a grail. Very inpired.
|
Inspired is the correct word. In this case by Tom Reeds
temple items.
In searching Brickshelf for Toms temple items just now, I came across for the
first time Casper van Nimwegens
Temple of Portunus.
Wow. Cool stuff! Then I saw that youd posted to LUGNET about it back in
April. Im always amazed when great LEGO creations like that slip right past
me. I guess it just goes to show that I dont read LUGNET often enough.

The camp defecation scene wouldnt open for some reason, Ill have to check
back later.

Thats my bad. The link is incorrect. Try this one:

A lot of these laws were familiar to me, but seeing them in
lego makes them all the more absurd. Great work, yet again.

Thanks for the feedback!
