yes,
before i had detailed the inside of my M.E.D.I.C.,
i discovered while thinking about how i was going to
photograph it, that the photographing actually
affected my design.

1) on that ship the entire cockpit/tunnel is removable
so i could take photos up the tunnel and also back into
the main room thru the tunnel door.

2) it determined how i was going to place things in
the main room, knowing what camera angles i wanted.

and, once i realized i COULD do it,
i really enjoyed taking the photos as if you are
inside the ship

these minifig-eye-level shots are my favorite ones,
i hope others out there will do some....

I am wondering, what's the typical success ratio out there?
am i the only one who doesn't have every MOC turn out wonderful
on the first try ;-)

I've yet to have a MOC turn out wonderful. :)  I get one worth taking a
few pictures of once in a while.  Even after multiple retrofits, I don't
think I've ever wound up with "wonderful."

I've found that it actually helps me to take photos of stuff I build, then
look at the photos see them through the camera's eye -- it helps me look at
them in a different way.  It's also great practice with a digital camera and
lighting.  Ironically, I also built a couple things that I didn't think were
so great, but actually looked better in photos than in real life.  It's just
hard to predict how it'll come out once photographed.
