I'm not quite sure I follow your ASCII art. Can you post a picture some
place (either a picture of what you got or a drawing in paint)?

Meanwhile I'll try to describe the designs a little better: The first design goes like this: when the gravel drops from a conveyor belt it drops into collectors seperated by a sloped surface. | I'm working on the inside of a gravel silo and I'm not completely happy with it. The silo I have in mind dumps gravel into either a hopper waggon or into a dump-truck.
