Jon,
I think that may have been me talking about how to put bricks on the side to
make lettering and round shapes. I was talking about using the 5:6 ratio of
Lego to "round out" the sides of the window and make it look more round.
An alternate idea may be to take two 2x6x1 or 2x8x1 arches and put one upside
down with a flat on top (and a flat under as well). This makes a perfect
circle. Then you can make the glass behind the circle. This method gives it
a 3D look. The obvious problem with this is that the bottom arch slides out.
The red reverse arches coupled with some 3x4x1 arches may give you a more
satifactory effect as well as a larger window, however, I've never tried this
idea.
