Hi Arthur,

The spire is one of the weakest parts. If time permits before Brickworld (Chicago: June 21) I fix it up. Did anyone notice that I cut a piece? (The top of the spire!!)

Ah yes, you did! Cutting one out of thousand or more elements is acceptable.

I oringally made the spire with more of a “football” shape but it looked too much like a pyramid. I have a stud or two to work with at the top so I’ll be working on that too. Again, thanks for the suggestion.

I wouldn’t change the dome itself built with the red bricks. Just try to fix the white flex-axles a bit different so that they point more to the top (I hope you understand what I mean?).

My next project was to be Rialto Bridge. Your Rialto Bridge, and your entire Venice scene are spectacular!!!! So I’m rethinking my decision.... ;)

No, no ... go for it. My minifig-scale version of the bridge is pretty old these days and especially the big arch could have done better. So there is much place for improvement.

Take a look at pictures form my trip to Venice for inspiration:

Kind regards,

Holger

(...) I agree. My photography skills are lacking. Once a year, in the spring, I bring in a professional photographer (Jerry Mann) to take photos. One look at my brickshelf folder and its easy to spot who took what pictures (...) Yes. I've noticed (...) (17 years ago, 5-Jun-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)
