(...) This isn't the kind of answer for which you were seeking, but for me it was the advent of Brickbay (now Bricklink). That has done more to allow me to build whatever I wish then any particular LEGO set. I would also say that Pick-a-Brick has (...) (18 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Many of the folks here have long surpassed the techniques used in TLG sets, and the pictures that folks post here are the most inspiring things I've ever seen, but as it relates to "Official" sets, What LEGO set: ...made you approach building (...) (18 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.build)

(...) I had seen that space buggy before. I did most of the parts for the 6x one, then Ed Diment turned up with two wheelsets, so it was an obvious match.
