  Re: MC Escher

Brilliant. I am still trying to work out how you did that... which shows how close you got to the originals : ) God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (21 years ago, 9-Oct-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: 2006 sets

(...) I agree. When I saw these new planes I felt thoroughly disappointed and uninspired. My hunch is that they're looking to put a 5+ age rating on the box. And if that's the case, I can't blame them for thinking they have to juniorize something. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Oct-05, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: 2006 sets

(...) Agreed. But is there a point where the pieces are so large and so specialized that it loses the creativity? That plane nose reminds me more of Playmobil than an open-ended building toy. (URL) -Steven (21 years ago, 7-Oct-05, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: 2006 sets

(...) Wouldn't this be where the "creativity" comes in? If I'ma kid, and I see how I can build a 4-wide plane, wouldn't I recognize that a wider plane would be better, so I'll look at all my parts and figure out how to make a wider plane? (plates & (...)   Boonta Eve Race

From local cult to grand spectacle and long before the arena was built, Tatooine's thrillseekers have held free-for-all, no-holds-barred races. Hello! (...) According to the BrickLink catalogue the short brown hoses come in set 4093: (URL) general those hoses don't seem to be too common. There are but three different lengths each coming in three colours: (URL) (21 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.build)

Re: Another offer from JJ's: escritoire & iron stove

(...) That was the conclusion I came to as well... (...) I haven't seen that short of a hose around, do you know what set off-hand? Thanks and God Bless, Nathan (21 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.build)

Re: Another offer from JJ's: escritoire & iron stove

Hello! Thanks. (...) I'm glad I did not *intend* to build a vignette. :-) It just came along. (...) History books will call my reign the "Golden Age of Escritoires". That's certainly something to be proud of. Bye Jojo (21 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.build)

Re: Another offer from JJ's: escritoire & iron stove

Hello! Thanks. (...) I say: It's impossible to build an actually "rolling" roll desk with LEGO. In minifig scale that is :-) (...) That are rubber hoses. They only come in few colours but luckily brown amongst them. Bye Jojo (21 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.build)

Re: Another offer from JJ's: escritoire & iron stove

(...) This is awsome! I have been comtemplating building a roll-desk (my slang) for ages, but could never come up with the right combination of pieces. Speaking of pieces; what did you use for the back of the chair? God Bless, Nathan (21 years ago, 24-Sep-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Did Someone Say Monorail?

(...) Tom, this is absolutly L33T. I never stop being amazed by the things others can do with LEGO. Truely impresive. Mat (21 years ago, 22-Sep-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Another offer from JJ's: escritoire & iron stove

(...) Nice work Jojo. Although I agree that the vignette "wow effect" is missing, it doesn't detract from the great part selection and attention to detail.   Re: Studless Brick Wall Study
