there is a nice design of a two small cylinder pumps attached to one motor
using gears. this is to Ralph Hemples design www.bmts.com/~rhempel and click on
his lego related information. Very compact design work.
here is a another link to

Really nice design by the way...
Snip from lugnet post by Don Forth ( thanks Don )
you might do a search on "pump" for more info via lugnet I see some discussion
of Air tank overload that might help your pressurzation question. I built a
double pump unit with two air storage tanks and when the system tanks get full
pressure and the lines get full pressure, the pumps begin to bind and the drive
belts start slipping. I had connected 7 action cylinders to it and was able to
maintain "relatively" good pressure to all of them. I have only set this up as
a test device and havent built the actual vehicle yet. Hope this makes some
sense to you. : )
Have Fun!

| Oops noticed the link didnt work so here it is again For Ralph Hemples doulbe acting pnuematic pumps (URL) He also has a neat pressure switch design that looks like it would keep the system from over pressurizing Thanks Ralph! John (25 years ago, 10-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

| (...) The only set I recall that used a motorized compressor pump was the 8868, Airtech Claw Rig. (URL) used the original 9V motor and worked okay. There are some other designs on the Web by other folks. I don't know what limits the pressure. I (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)
