Which makes me ask something I have wondered for a while... why is that
piece called a "gable end" piece when when it's used for making a roof
that has no gables??

| (...) I think it's called "gabled" because it is an otherwise normal 1x2 roof piece with a gabled overhang on one side, ie a vertical triangle like a gabled roof. So that name refers to the appearance of the piece not it's actual function which is (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

| I just won an auction assortment of LEGO that includes (18) 3x3 low sloped outside corner bricks in yellow. I checked with our Rob Farver (the LEGO sloped bricks expert), and he also had never heard of them. Anyone here in LUGNET have any clue as to (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)
