    Cornered roofs —Sonnich Jensen
Hi all! I am building a building, with octocal walls. I use hinge bricks anf plates, which gives me almost 45 degrees walls. (URL) am looking for a way to add a roof, and found this: (URL) small though, but then I saw this part: (URL) took me some (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.build)

        Re: Cornered roofs —Adrian Egli
(...) I've got a suggestion- try wings. I (very) vaguely recall seeing a MOC, likely a castle one (Anyone in castle know what I saw?), that used a roof design very similar to what you're trying to make but the builder used plates, wings and hinges (...)          Re: Cornered roofs —Tim David
(...) I too remember seeing a round(ish) building using wings to create a round roof. However I'm pretty certain it was a railway water tower and was in a fairly recent Bickshelf gallery of a show. Anyone point me in the right direction?       (...) Thats the one I was thinking of, although not the pic. Here's another pic (URL) (20 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

         Re: Cornered roofs —Gail Meagher
(...) Wasn't a railway water tower, but I've done a couple of roofs like this. First one was a seven sided building (based on an actual seven sided bank in Halifax). (URL) Uses 8x4 wings. Next was an octagonal barn (place to hide the code pilot (...) (20 years ago, 2-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: Cornered roofs —Jason J. Railton
(...) For that, I'd recommend sculpting a rounded roof out of plates. But, if you want something made from slopes, I have another idea I used on my Mediterranean windmill. Try to imagine what a series of 45° corner slopes (or even 30° corner slopes) (...) (20 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim)

        Re: Cornered roofs —Sonnich Jensen
(...) I have read this a number of times, printed it, read it in the bus. I am sorry, I cannot follow this. Appearantly, you have used it in your Mediterranean windmill. Are there any chances, that you can provide _any_ picture of this? Or someone, (...) (19 years ago, 8-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim)

Here is a piccie: (URL) Currently I am playing around with plates, I seem to have a solution, (thanks (...) (19 years ago, 8-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim)

Re: Cornered roofs —Jason J. Railton
(...) '+lugnet/building -mecha' summary option would be nice. I'll add that to my wish list under a '+recent -bionicle' browse option on brickshelf. Anyway, I'll try to take some pictures. But, the general idea is to have the top half of your roof (...) (19 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.schleim)
