Very nice work!!!! I, too, have built a cicada, I just haven’t gotten any pics
yet. I used pieces from the Wild Collection set (409?/41??) released last year.
Frankly, I think your use of minifig arms better reflects the legs of the little
critters. I’ve heard from several different people that there’s been a blue-eyed
variety found; they’re supposed to be pretty rare. Since I only have enough of
the chosen brick to build one, I may have to switch out the eyes and post a pick
of a blue-eyed one too. My only beef with using the clear wings contained in
Wild Collection is that mine looks more like a giant fly than a cicada, but I
was still satisfied with the end result.
