what I'm going for (was Re: The Sultan is Back)

(...) Thanks Lenny and Larry. I don't think a higher compliment can be paid than to have someone "get" what you're trying to do and appreciate it. I got an email and some AIM questions so I thought I'd post some more info about the sculptures. First (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Check out our latest MOC from our (3 URLs) The impending spread of the Clone Wars to the Outer Rim territories had the Republic looking for a breed of faster, lighter cruise ships that can be sent in advance for reconnaisance missions.   Re: The Sultan is Back

(...) Welcome back! (...) Great stuff all around. What is the piece attaching the sink to the central post? An R2-D2 leg? (...) I dipped my toes in the deep blue sea while you were out: (URL) still got to write a more extensive story to go with that (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

  Re: Update to my MOCpages

(...) Makes sense. I'll have to make one of those for myself. I wonder if I have any of the rounded plate in blue? Hmm, probably not. Bruce (23 years ago, 5-Mar-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: The Sultan is Back

(...) I'm with Lenny on this one, It's art, and moreover, it's better art (coming from someone that understands the medium) than some of the stuff from "real" artists, at least some of who, in my view, are using the medium purely for stunt value. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

  Re: The Sultan is Back

(...) I love this! I shared this with my wife and we had a mushy moment. :-) (...) I like the concept of doing abstract art with LEGO. I've never had the guts to try it myself, but now maybe I'll think more about it. (...) I interpreted it as (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

  Re: The Sultan is Back

-snip- really cool stuff!! (...) Felix, I see this as you intend it, and think it is very powerful. This is something, along with the 'Guy going through' sculpture for Houston that i feel transcends to the level of true Art - that is, using LEGO as (...)   Re: The Sultan is Back

(...) First off, welcome back, Felix! You were missed by quite a few people. And I really like the new directions that you have taken with your work. (...) So who's who:)? (...) I had just spotted this on Brickshelf and though, "Only one person (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

  The Sultan is Back

Fitting time in for building has been hard these days, but I get it in every once in a while. Just thought I'd say hi and show some of the stuff I've been up to lately. I apologize for the grainy pics which probably don't represent the models (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone, FTX) !!

  Re: Update to my MOCpages

(...) I'm using 1x1 technic bricks with half pins mounted in the hole. If you look closely at the picture you can see the tops of the two 1x1 technic bricks on the front of the mailbox - they have the open studs. J. Spencer Rezkalla (23 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Update to my MOCpages

(...) Jeff, There are a few more shots here: (URL) I intend to take more but have been dragging my feet mainly due to not having the energy/focus to complete the detail items. Oddly, I took almost no shots of it at the show. Unfortunately one of my (...) (23 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Update to my MOCpages

(...) Shoot. I'm among the LDraw illiterate. What piece is holding the rounded plates on? I think that the rest is visible from your photos. Bruce (23 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: Anyone here know someone by the name of 'Braith'?

(...) Take a look at his post (the very one you replied to), from the web view, and you should see his email in the header of the post. I get it as Braith Garden <braithgarden@hotmai...OSPAM.com> (take NOSPAM out) Hope that helps. (23 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Update to my MOCpages

  Re: Update to my MOCpages

Very cool. My favorite things were actually some of the detail pieces you made, like the mailbox and the trees. On the mailbox, could you post a partly dis-assembled photo to reveal your construction secrets? That's a really nice design. On the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Update to my MOCpages

Pictures 8 and 18 from the GATs show are of a cool looking rocket that's on a launch pad, complete with launch tower and "shuttle like" vehicle on top. Where can I find more pictures if this? The two pictures you put up are good, but I'm hoping for (...) (23 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.build)
