I still kick it old school, down on the floor, surrounded by LEGO. I can't
say I'm still man enough to keep all my LEGO in one enormous unsorted pile
like my childhood collection, but these days I sit myself down amongst the
bins on a regular old bed pillow. If I'm sitting cross-legged, I make sure
my ankles are on the pillow, because hardwood is not kind to ankles.
I've recently found that it's better for me to have what I'm building raised
up a bit, more at eye level, which is closer to how I eventually photograph
it, so I tend to sit on the floor while building on the coffee table.
But I'm open to new suggestions, too, because my back gets pretty sore after
an extended building session.
