What do you sit on when you build?

I had a sort of revelation a few weeks ago after finishing construction of
my LEGO building table.  I'm not too proud to admit that I'd had enough of
sitting on the floor to build and was ready to give in and use a chair.  For
the time being I'm stealing a folding chair that my wife also uses to sit at
her cutting table for sewing.  It's a good quality folding chair mind you...
I think it was $30 or so brand new.  It's got good back support and a comfy
seat for my seat.  :)

As a kid, there was only one way to go... on the floor.  I used to build on
an up-side-down wooden game board that was about 3 foot square.  Many a
Saturday morning was spent on the floor in front of the TV building with my
LEGO bricks.  But I think the years have taken the toll on my knees and to
be honest, the chair is fine with me.  Building a special area just to build
in helped me to get my bricks better organized and also allows me to leave
constructions ongoing, rather than having to put everything away, off the
floor, every night.

Great question!

All the best,
Allan B.
