Well, it's either a slightly hollowed out look or the hollow studs, which I
don't like much either.

Heheh...it's not a '77 Lotus though :) I think you'd have to go to a
slightly bigger scale to make it convert (12 or 16 wide?) I'd love to see
it...

Yeah, I see; it's unfortunate LEGO doesn't have a 1x3 with 2 studs on top with half stud offsets (using the 1x2 tiles with single stud on top makes going from 3 studs to 2 very flimsy!); as for the 2x4 plate... hmm, you're right, I can't think (...) (23 years ago, 21-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)
