Any ideas?

Well, here's something I just figured out...

Take a x2 technic axle and put it in the center hole of 1 brick then put the
other brick on...

It's seamless and holds pretty tight on newer bricks.  Older bricks seem to
be giving me a bit of trouble with that technique though...

Hmmm, seems as if one older brick will hold tight and then when you try to
put the other one on it won't hold, argh, what the heck...  Oh well, just
make sure you use new bricks. :)

Hope that's strong enough for what you're doing. Good Luck.

Woot, I figured out an even better way.

Check it out:

Take 2 of the 1x2 panels and stuff em on the same side and it holds pretty
tight, works on older bricks as well. :) Although you lose the ability to
spin it like with my last idea.

Hope that helps!
