Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) Thanks for showing the internal structures of one of your pieces. It does remind me a lot of the insides of the Statue of Liberty, internal bracing in the vague shape of the intended form, then a relatively thin skin attached at points. Think (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: more WWII models, plus one minimech

(...) Shaun - I love these models. The detail is perfect for models of this size - but can you tell me what colours these are done in? Are they all light and dark grey, or have you used tan? All the pictures seem to have a greenish tinge, but I know (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Purple speeder? (was Re: A-wing fighter)

(...) That large blue Naboo speeder reminds me of something I saw last year. On The Big Breakfast (UK morning TV show), they showed a load of Episode 1 Star Wars Lego before it was released. One of the sets looked a bit like that large speeder, but (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) Gee eric, sounds to me like *you're* talking about Eric Harshbarger to me. BTW if LD calls you about a bug in Mosaic, it's resolved, it's probably a bug in the shopping cart instead. ++Lar (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) minimech that I hadn't really thought out completely until later... I usually don't at all like the look of using the click-hinges as mecha legs... while the hinges (especially in pairs) are capable of handling quite a bit of weight, they look (...)   Re: more WWII models, plus one minimech

(...) sticks in the cockpit are a bit cumbersome, but that's about the only nitpick I can think of. I like the vent tile on the back of the SW engine... it's a simple detail, but it just jumped out at me as making sense on the back of a large (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

What, the Enterprise?!? NCC-1701 would have to fill a decent sized room in order to be minifig scale. Egad! ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

Re: more WWII models, plus one minimech

I like the Kübelwagen. I once tried to make one at 6 studs wide, but I never managed to get anywhere. The two studs tall grey doors are a nice fit for the model. Fredrik (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

more WWII models, plus one minimech

This past weekend Tim Courtney was kind enough to take some pictures of some undocumented models sitting around the ole' LEGO room. They include a small one-person 'mech, and in the grand tradition of my fixation on German WWII vehicles, another (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

And I shall call him ... MiniMech

Hi All, Just thought I'd point you to a new mech of mine. This past weekend, during the NELUG Medieval Brikwars event, Tim Courtney was kind enough to take a couple snapshots of it for me and put them online. Here 'tis: (URL) seats one, has a (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
