I oohed and aahhed over them in person, but I have one comment about the
minimech that I hadn't really thought out completely until later...

I usually don't at all like the look of using the click-hinges as mecha legs...
while the hinges (especially in pairs) are capable of handling quite a bit of
weight, they look kind of flimsy.  Including the wheels on the outside of the
legs (up at the top there), which I assume is purely cosmetic, makes the joint
look beefier.

This past weekend Tim Courtney was kind enough to take some pictures of some undocumented models sitting around the ole' LEGO room. They include a small one-person 'mech, and in the grand tradition of my fixation on German WWII vehicles, another (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)
