  Re: Classic Contest Entries

(...) Sorry Bram, I'm working solo on these projects :) The funny thing is a couple of the alternate models I've made I'm considering modifying slightly and resubmitting as their own sets. I'm hoping by posting elaborate alternate models to these (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

(...) contest. (Must finish physics homework so I can LDraw!) You build alternate models too well for your own good! (Wanna build some for my model? [1] We live in the same city after all.[2] ) --Bram 1) Todd...what do you think of collaborative (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: The face of things to come

(...) Yes they work well. The double gives about the same mobility of the single with more support. The only pose a double won't give you is "cross" articulation: it wouldn't be able to hold a two handed sword, for example. At least not the way I'm (...)   Re: My scorpion-towed hover chariot

To answer both of the connection questions: 1. Connecting via the stud will force the cahin to make a "bend" to get through the tail, and when placing the chain straight, the scorpion will then be slightly rotated around the y-axis (sorry, done too (...)   Re: Classic Contest Entries

Here's my next entry for the design contest. It's a category 8 mobile rocket launcher, based loosely on the 6950 mobile rocket launcher. My concept for it was a smaller, faster, lighter version of the 6950 for people who want to lob a missile 1000 (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  Re: 2 new MOC's

My mistake. Apparently you did. Guess that'll teach me to check before cross-posting. I uploaded this image from the Star Wars RPG books, which list the Z-95 as having "triple blasters" whatever those may be. (URL) image is for reference only etc. (...)   Re: The face of things to come

Hi Bryce, I see you're using double throwbot limbs at the shoulders. Does that work well? How much weight does it support? Looking forward to seeing more. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: 2 new MOC's

Hi Jay, Very nice work... though I thought the Z-95 had triple cannons on the wingtips? Or is this another case of "multiple books with different info"? I really like the laser cannons on the X-Wing. Nicely shaped. (I cross-posted to .starwars (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: My scorpion-towed hover chariot

(...) idea! Couldn't you just poke the tails of the scorpions through the hole in the chain end stud? That way you wouldn't have to use the extra clip element to connect the chain. Or perhaps it can't be done? Fredrik (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) work. The guy can build some GREAT mechas -- perhaps the best so far on lugnet, certainly amongst the best. I like Blue's fingers, btw. I myself have been working on some Mecha hands, but that unveiling will have to wait for a bit. Kudos. -- (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

The face of things to come

I just posted a pic of my new mecha. I'm borrowing a good digital camera Monday so I should have more pictures in a week or so. (URL) McGlone (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha @ Moonbase Io

(...) D.H.B...I like that. The back story for my new mech is similar. The Mech becomes self aware and assimilates the driver (sort of like the Borg). Bryce McGlone (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  2 new MOC's

Here they are: My 2 latest creations. The Star Wars X-wing fighter and Z-95 Headhunter. Ben Quadinaros' podracer will follow next week (if anyone wants to do some ldraw hoses for me I'd be very gratefull). I hope you like em :-) Greetz, Jay And (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My scorpion-towed hover chariot

(...) This has got to be one of the weirdest things I have ever seen built with bricks -- but I like it! Why didn't you just chain the scorpians via their handy top pegs though? And if I may so, I think you need more scorpians to get up to any (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Jury wanted !

I really liked it. I agree that I really liked the gauges, and the headlight. The back side of the front fender was a well selected part. I also like that you don't hide every stude with a smooth tile. I think Lego models need to show their roots. (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Classic Contest Entries

(...) Thanks. I think they were almost more fun than creating the original model :) I Ldrawed the original first so that I could rebuild it if I wanted to. Of course, a vehicle as simple as this guy I could probably rebuild without anything other (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  My scorpion-towed hover chariot

After the disscussion on scorpion-towed vehicles in .adventurers and off-topic.fun, I built one: (URL) is a hovering chariot, towed by two scorpions, and has place for one passenger (in this case, the Jungle Priestess). The chariot itself is shaped (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: New 'Quirinius' and 'TigerStark' Mecha

But it's only built from the two sets mentioned. Anyone willing to (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
