Re: New Mecha @ Moonbase Io

(...) alternating colors really helps make it look solid. Shoulder mounted guns are also a favorite of mine. This mech looks similar to the new shocktrooper, which is one of my all time favorite smaller mechs. It looks so mean with an evil (...)   Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

(...) Tony, I've been using two or three (and on my new mech four) together to make hip and shoulder joints that can hold 6-7 pounds. I use the "clip" sockets and not the flat feet type ones. Hi Claus. This has already been discussed in about four other threads. Try reading lugnet.starwars if you'd like to catch up on some of that discussion. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: New click hinge

(...) Agreed! Those are an interesting twist on click hinges. Take a close look at most of the models on any page and you'll see them. Click hinges are included in virtually every 2001 model, so it looks like they are here to stay. Personally, I'm (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Classic Space set design and building contest

I grew up on classic Space (1978-1986) and I still have a huge soft spot in my heart for old simple smileys and single-color astronaut uniforms. It's seeming more and more like the LEGO Space System product line (originally LEGOLAND Space, followed (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce) !!

  Re: Timmy has competition

I don't mind this insanely happy fig. He kinda reminds me of that guy that's always screaming on the Dilbert cartoon show. I don't mind that Lego is creating people with personalities. I mean, how much personality can you instill in a fig that looks (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Space Football at my Pathetic Website!

  Re: Space Base Ideas?

Heh. Thanks. I might finish it tomorrow, since you're asking. You can look for it in .space. It's populated by Futurons. ;^) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone)

Hmmm I actually create my rendered files a little differently. If you use MLCAD, you most certainly can see the x,y,z co-ordinates in the bottom left corner when you move the mouse around in the Top, Down, Left, Right, Front and Back "View Angles" (...)   Re: M:Tron Security Headquarters (MOC)

Thank for the compliments. That one probably took the longest of any that I built, and it probably does have the most detail.   Re: M:Tron Security Headquarters (MOC)

(...) Brad, I have seen your models in the past, but one had eluded me, the Baroque Palace. I love it's design the best and out of all your models probably because it is the most intricate (and you set the standard fairly high).
