I doubt that TLC would have had any difficulty making something similar to what I created. It's similar to the real BD-5, but it's different enough in scale and detail that it couldn't really be construed as any kind of copyright issue. I think they (...) (...) Kid testing cannot be underemphasized. This model has a very high vroomability factor too. This is an example of a really good minimal model. Which brings me to another point. That is awesome. It is way better than TLC's Spy Runner. I would bet the reason TLC didn't make that plane is they either did not or could not get the rights to reproduce the real plane. Thanks Paul! My goal was to make the most of the fewest parts, and I think I accomplished my goal. It was even kid-tested yesterday at Wayne's house (see my other post in .general) and it held up perfectly. Maybe I should send the design to LEGO. (...)
