The Marauder is based on the Macross Zentraedi Officer's Battle Pod. Here's a nice pic with some good detail. (...) counter the torque of the main rotor. This design is (I believe) more popular among Russian designs than any others. Popular helicopter rotor systems include a primary rotor with a tail rotor, two primary rotors on opposite sides of the VTOL (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.build)

To me, it looks a lot more like an autogyro that a VTOL (an autogyro is a top-rotored aircraft with a exterior engines that don't power the rotors and no (...) (24 years ago, 23-May-00, to lugnet.build)

One of the latest additions to my website was a pair of VTOLs, the "Thunder" and the "Donar." If you take a look at the Donar, you'll see that I included an attempt at a contra-rotating lift system. Has anyone managed a good looking and FUNCTIONAL (...) (24 years ago, 23-May-00, to lugnet.build)
