Re: New Pic of my Confederates

(...) These figures look great. They are some of the best custom figures I have ever seen. I would really like to know the supplies and process you used. With results like these I might try this myself! Howie. (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.western, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: My Mecha Unveiled!

Nice Mecha. It looks a lot like one of the Gundam Mobile Suits from Gundam Wing (especally the sword). I'm just a beginner though;-) Dan P.S. The name should be something scary in Latin like Deus Ex Machina or Hades (I know thats not latin) (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Lego Computers

I didn't build mine out of Lego, just made an external cover for it - see it at my work site, (URL) be ripping it apart and rebuilding it yet again soon, as I am switching computers. This time I'll use windows over the LEDs, and try springloaded (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  New Pic of my Confederates

I just put up another pic of some Confederate soldiers that I just finished. You can check them out here (URL) let me know what you think good or bad? Thank you David (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.western, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Any good neo-classical buildings out there?

Hey, Have any of you built neo-classical styled buildings? I have yet to attempt this. The only good example I can think of is Gary Istoks classical museum: (URL) anyone know of other examples? (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: A custom X-men archangel ...

(...) What are you talking about? Go look around at custom Star Wars figures. No one says that it's someone else's design, you're inspired, but it's not like Craig owns the rights to a Flash minifig. And it's not like he used one of craig's methods (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Crowns, Native Americans and drills

(...) C'mon, Craigo -- you know I drilled a Padme wig, yes? You're not REALLY committed to modifying unless you sacrifice a Padme wig, or something else that's REALLY cool! =oP -- Richard (Nervously eyeing the Mayan Priests headgear...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: less messy getting rid of the print on minifigs

(...) I dunno, Shiri. This is pretty close to the old "injury to the eye" motif forbidden in comics some years ago. Too thrilling for young readers! It's probably against the Lugnet Terms of Use in some way too... -- Richard (no longer a comic book (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: A custom X-men archangel ...

(...) I have to disagree mildly with this, Pawel. I think at an incipient level, these darkworld3D minifigs are okay. Some good ideas there, but poor execution ruins a lot of them. I also think its an outrage to knockoff Craigo's stuff -- like the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Lego Computers

I was unsure what group this message belonged, but I guess building is as good as any. I am also unsure if it has been shown before but here are a couple of cool sites where people built computers out of Legos. Ok the second site used mega Blocks, (...)   Re: Knight in shining armor...

The chest plate armor element came from an Armada soldier in the Pirates theme. You can see him in this set, far right: (URL) are just dk gray body parts and a hook hand (also from Pirates). With so many more chrome elements, I bet it'd be possible (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Knight in shining armor...

(...) Wow. I have two of those three. I thought it was a more common part than that. Weird. eric (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Freckle Face Head

(...) That's correct. The town head is smiling, while Anakin has a very serious expression on his face (straight-line mouth, that is). J (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Knight in shining armor...

(...) The Armada Flagship, one of the Pirate Mini-Figures sets, and I *think* Pirate's Perilous Pitfall. Not sure if there were any others offhand (It may also have been in one of the Time Losers sets, they have a lot of random parts.) Unlike the (...)   Re: Knight in shining armor...

(...) No, it's a special piece. Came in some Pirate sets with Spanish-Influenced figs. Don't know which they are off the top of my head, though. eric (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Freckle Face Head

(...) I'm not positive about this, but it seems like Anakin's head is *not* the same town/paradisa freckled head. Is that so? (...) Same with my paradisa+town+train figs, until recently - I realized they have great potential when used in the right (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Knight in shining armor...

I was re-cruising baseplate.com after meeting Suz in person... it was fun remembering how I first saw those kits and ideas. (At my mom's office in Israel, every picture took about an hour to download... :-) Well, it took me a *long* time to figure (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Proof-of-Principle For Evil Being's Lair

(...) Thanks! Yep, I was referring to the cross vault. Now I have to go check out the rest of that page! Thanks for the link! -Shiri (XFUT .build.arch) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Proof-of-Principle For Evil Being's Lair

(...) (URL) sounds like you're talking about either (C), the Ribbed Vault, or (B), the Groin or Cross Vault. :) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)
