  Help...what piece or pieces?

Hey all. I just bought 6453 Com-Link Cruiser. Something about it yells "THIS is what you wanted for that monorail design!" Okay, great. But I'm trying to build it up a bit in the front, and I can't find pieces that match the angle. I guess that's a (...) (26 years ago, 14-Dec-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: Tinkering the 8880 suspension setup

(...) So, you would use the wish-bones (2 per wheel) from the Cyber set, and the piece that connects them and the wheel from the Future car?! (...) No problem, have a nice vacation. ____ |oooo| Cheers, |oooo| Wouter van Wageningen ¯¯¯¯ (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Technic 99

Richard Dee wrote in message ... (...) Pictures of all sets, except 844x, can be found at www.lego.com. If you can't be bothered to wade through the multiple catalogues looking for them, check out (URL) a consolidated list of 1999 sets and links (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tinkering the 8880 suspension setup

(...) Yes, I modified it. I basically made something which is like the suspension on the Rebel Wrecker, 8858, but with flex cables for steering. The pieces needed to make such a suspension is available today, BTW. You can get the 8437 Future car for (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

  Technic 99

Finally got a new US Technic catalog, and I had to wait entirely too long to see a 99 set in the stores, maybe if people actually bought the CyberSlam stuff the Lego rep would have had to put new technic stuff out earlier. oh well. ThrowBots 8500 (...) (26 years ago, 20-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tinkering the 8880 suspension setup

(...) If I only had those pieces. Or if I had a 8858...... I would love to have some good suspension parts. I was thinking of attempting to use two 8417's to make a nice hotrod. But lack of good (specialized) pieces holds me back. I saw on your site (...) (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tinkering the 8880 suspension setup

(...) That's probably not possible. There does exist some other steering gears, though, which can accommodate ordinary technic wheels. I'm refering to the steering gears used on the 8865 (URL) fit directly in the blue suspension braces, but you (...) (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tinkering the 8880 suspension setup

(...) Great pictures. While I was building the 8880 I was supprised to find the specialized (non-technic-standard) means of connecting the wheels. Did you find a way to use the suspension with normal technic wheels? ____ |oooo| Cheers, |oooo| Wouter (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.build)
