Many of the folks here have long surpassed the techniques used in TLG sets, and the pictures that folks post here are the most inspiring things I've ever seen, but as it relates to "Official" sets, What LEGO set: ...made you approach building (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.build)

(...) I had seen that space buggy before. I did most of the parts for the 6x one, then Ed Diment turned up with two wheelsets, so it was an obvious match. (...) Although commendable, I wouldn't say it was unique. All the bricks in this picture (including the space buggy) are 6x, except for the Fire Chief's car, which is 10x: (URL) also work better if the top surface is one plate thick with tiles on (...)
