Re: 4939 Alternate Models: Snow Plow and Helicopter

(...) Thanks! Yeah, I like to do alternate models out of "philosophical solidarity" with all the kids (like me, more or less) without the resources to build big collections. Anyway, I'm glad that the LDraw files are appreciated. Eventually I intend (...) (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: 4939 Alternate Models: Snow Plow and Helicopter

(...) Jim, These are great. I'm always happy to see folks post single-set alternate models and the fact that you posted the MPD file makes it even better, allowing others to recreate it. Thanks and Regards, Paul (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Annie Azure was the first of a class of vintage light-freighters. These commonly-seen ships have brought necessities to far-flung colonies for decades.   4939 Alternate Models: Snow Plow and Helicopter

Here are some little models I made from the "(URL) Cars>" set: a snow plow and a lil' helicopter. The snow plow should be a familiar sight to anyone from wintry climes. The shape of the main plow isn't really right for a highway plow, but it does (...) (18 years ago, 14-Mar-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX) !

  Re: New sculpture

(...) Hi Bram, An excellent example of the technique and software. As Ley said catching it at a diagonal is a brilliant way to break up any potential blockiness and show off the software. I'm not going to ask where you got the 3d model from... Tim (18 years ago, 12-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Rockabilly Revival

(...) It looks a bit like a wheel of gouda - the strings would be the wires of a cheese slicer. Hmmm... is the perfection of the wheel of cheese about to be cut analagous to the perfection of a piece of music about to be played by a rockabilly band? (...)   Re: Rockabilly Revival

(...) Hi Richie, It's meant to be a guitar but an electric banjo fits the mood. I did choose that colour for a reason but I've forgotten why now. Might have seen a guitar in that colour in a band shot or something. Thanks for sharing your comments. (...) (18 years ago, 11-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Rockabilly Revival

(...) Spotlighted! Not sure about the orange 2x2 round for the banjo (is it a banjo?)... I can't help but think that tan or brown (or even a grey) would work better. Cheers Richie Dulin (18 years ago, 11-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) This is stunning, Bram. I especially like that you put the main axis on a diagonal to the brick. This shows off both your design and the power of your software well.
